PILAF WITH CHESTNUTS

MATERIALS

  • 2 glass of Hasata Gönen Baldo Rice
  • 1 glass of chestnuts (cooked as kebab)
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin(for the above)
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoons of pistachios
  • 2 tablespoons of currants
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 3 glasses of water or chicken broth

How To Make Pilaf with Chestnuts

    • 1.Take Hasata Gönen Baldo Rice in a deep bowl.
    • 2.Add cold water and half a teaspoon of salt. Wait for half an hour, wash and drain the water.
    • 3.Add butter and sunflower oil to the pot and heat. Add the pine nuts and fry until their color changes slightly. Add the onion you chopped and continue frying.
    • 4.When the onion changes color, add rice and fry. When the rice becomes transparent, add currants, black pepper, remaining salt, cumin and new spice and fry for 2-3 minutes.
    • 5.Add chestnuts and broth and mix. When it starts to boil, close the lid of the pot and cook over low heat until the rice water is absorbed and the rice becomes soft.
    • 6.Turn off the stove, let it brew for 20 minutes, and serve hot.
