FALAFEL IN OVEN

MATERIALS

  • 1 cups Hasata Kırşehir Ram Chickpeas
  • 1 onion
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • Half a bunch of parsley
  • 2-3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Zest of half a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
  • 1.5 (one and a half) teaspoons of salt

For The Above

  • 3-4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

PREPARATION

  • 1.Take the Hasata Kırşehir Ram Chickpeas into a bowl. Add enough cold water to cover it and leave it for 1 night.
  • 2.Wash and drain the water the next day.
  • 3.Add chickpeas and 3 glasses of water into the pressure cooker and close the lid.
  • 4.Turn down the whistle after it blows and boil for 20 minutes.
  • 5.Take the boiled chickpeas from the cooker and drain.
  • 6.After the drained Hasata Kırşehir Ram Chickpeas cool down, put them in a food processor.
  • 7.Add the onion you cut into four, the garlic, the parsley, the lemon zest, 2 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil, salt and spices and blend until pureed.
  • 8.Take small pieces from it and roll into balls. Arrange the falafels on the baking tray covered with baking paper.
  • 9.Spread olive oil on it and bake in a preheated 200 degree oven until golden brown (approximately 20 minutes). Serve hot.
  • 10.Note: If you wish, instead of cooking in the oven, you can fry it in the oil you have heated.
  • 11.Enjoy your meal!
