CHICKPEA STEW

MATERIALS

  • 1 cup of boiled Hasata Kırşehir Koçbaşı Chickpeas
  • 1 onio
  • 3-4 green peppers
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2-3 grated garlic cloves
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato or pepper paste
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of isot
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil

PREPARATION

    • 1.In a deep bowl, combine boiled Hasata Kırşehir Koçbaşı Chickpeas, sliced green and red peppers, thinly sliced onion, paste, garlic, diced tomatoes, olive oil, salt, and spices. Mix well.
    • 2.Pour into a baking dish and spread evenly. Cover the top with dampened parchment paper.
    • 3.Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 20-25 minutes.
    • 4.Serve hot. Optionally, you can sprinkle isot on top.

Tricks

    • Boil the chickpeas until they are slightly tender considering they will cook further in the oven.
    • Remember to stir occasionally to let the flavors blend.
    • Adjust the variety and amount of spices according to your taste preference.
