ÇATAL AŞI SOUP

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Hasata Manisa Peeled Wheat 

  • ½ cup Hasata Yozgat Sultani Green Lentils

  • 1 onion

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 teaspoon dried mint

  • Hot water as needed

HOW TO MAKE ÇATAL AŞI SOUP?

Place 1 cup of Hasata Manisa Peeled Wheat in a bowl, cover with water, and let it soak overnight.
In a pot, melt the butter. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until softened and lightly golden.
Add the dried mint and stir. Pour in 4 cups of hot water. Add the lentils and soaked wheat.
Once it comes to a boil, cover the pot and cook on low heat for 20–25 minutes.
Before removing from the heat, stir in the salt. Serve the soup hot.

Tips

  • You can adjust the amount of water according to your preference.

  • For a quicker preparation, you may also cook the soup in a pressure cooker.
