Its homeland is the southeastern region of Turkey. According to many sources, chickpeas were grown in this region approximately 7000-7500 years ago. It is recommended to soak it in water for at least 8 hours the night before to make it easier to cook. After pouring the soaking water, it is cooked by adding new water. You should not add cold water again during cooking, but add hot water if necessary.

Kırşehir Ram Chickpea

Our Hasata Ram Chickpea is grown in Kırşehir with carefully selected seeds. Most of the grain colors of the Ram Chickpea variety can be light yellow, slightly yellowish or reddish. It is large, angular and tall. Their length is 1.5 times their width. The bottom part is divided into two. Since their shells are wrinkled and thin, they cook quickly and their shells do not separate from the grains easily.
